Thank you for reviewing the essential facts for the Christian community. We know that we are to be in the world, yet not of it, but too many believers have defined that as being ignorant of the world and, therefore, completely unable to connect the dots between the clear teaching of the Bible and the views and courses of action we should take to be on right ground with God.

I think in a lot of cases, people like Ilhan Omar were elected because their districts have large populations of like-minded people. Just like we have the representatives we have.

It’s a different world than we grew up in.

My main concern with Vaccine mandates is that there are many people whose health conditions are already compromised and the Covid-19 vaccine could wreak havoc with their immune systems. Plus, “following the science”, the Cleveland Clinic said that someone who has had Covid has stronger antibody/T-Cell immunity than the vaccines provide. Mandating those who have already had Covid would not be “following the science”; something else must be motivating the mandaters.

I think the Constitution, including the Second Amendment, is covered by Romans 13. Those who would come against the Constitution are going against the Christian’s mandate to obey the governing authorities. Standing against the “gun grabbers” would be standing in favor of Romans 13. Plus, as you pointed out, we are responsible for protecting our families. I don’t see pacifism modeled in the Bible.

All of these are sticky subjects. As I said, we Believers need to be very careful separating faith commitments and political preferences; they aren’t necessarily the same. We need to choose wisely.
