This is my mother, Clara Beaman. Her influence and prayers helped to make me the man that I am. This is the twenty-first Mother’s Day that I have been unable to pick up the phone and wish her a “Happy Mother’s Day”.
If your mother is still living, pick up the phone and let her know how much you love her and appreciate all that she has done for you.
Better yet, if you’re able, go tell her in person. Wrap your arms around her and give her the big hug she deserves.
Perhaps like mine, your mother has already crossed over to the other side of eternity. There may be other “mother figures” who continue to speak life into you. Although she may not be your mother, reach out to her today and let her know how much you love and appreciate her influence in your life.
There are probably women in your life who are not mothers. Maybe they chose to not have children. Or perhaps they hoped and prayed to have children, but God, in His infinite wisdom chose otherwise. Don’t let these women go unnoticed. Let them know how much you love and appreciate them today.
I’m very grateful for my mother and the mother of my children. Their influence will continue to grow for generations.
On this Mother’s Day, thank God for the mothers. Pray for the mothers. Pray for those who wish to be mothers. And pray for those who hoped and prayed to be mothers but were never given that opportunity.
